NHL players talk with Sports Counsellor Barb Egan on the importance of mental health and the mental game
Former NHL players Josh Gorges and Quintin Laing teamed up with Sports Counsellor Barb Egan, owner of Alive Counselling and partner with Third Space Charity, to host a night dedicated to raising money to support individual Sports Counselling sessions and team sessions for Kelowna Minor Hockey and other athletes, coaches, and families in the Okanagan.
Josh Gorges is originally from Kelowna, was the captain of the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL when the team hosted and won the Memorial Cup. He played in the NHL for the San Jose Sharks, Montreal Canadians, and Buffalo Sabres.
Quintin Laing is the current head of Kelowna Minor Hockey Association and a former NHL players for the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitols.
